Meet the Dietitians

“I read all of your bios and it was super refreshing to see that you don’t count calories or macros at all!”

– Brittany Jones Nutrition Group Client
Brittany L Jones, MS, RD, LD – CEO & Registered Dietitian

Hi! I’m Brittany – a Registered Dietitian, mom, wife, foodie, and owner of Brittany Jones Nutrition Group. I’ve been working with clients for over 10 years in Greenville, SC – and my biggest takeaway from my career thus far is that restricting anything (carbs/fat/time) and/or counting anything (macros/calories) doesn’t work in the long term. My philosophy has always been one where all foods fit in a healthy lifestyle. I am not about rules, or seeing things as strictly black, or white. I am about finding the shades of grey and living there. I can’t wait to meet you! Read more about Brittany here.

WHY CHOOSE A REGISTERED DIETITIAN VS. A NUTRITIONIST?

Simply said, all dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are dietitians. A Registered Dietitian has additional qualifications that must be met, which include:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with course work including food and nutrition sciences, food service systems management, business, economics, sociology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology and chemistry
  • Completed an accredited dietetic internship
  • Passed the national Registered Dietitian examination
  • Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain registration (75 every 5 years)
