Meet Brittany


Brittany L. Jones (Chin), MS, RD, LD is a Licensed Dietitian in the state of South Carolina with her Certificate in Adult Weight Management. She graduated Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a minor in Hospitality Management. She then left her home in Upstate New York to attend the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston to pursue her dream of becoming a Registered Dietitian. While starting her career in outpatient nutrition counseling, she was also working towards her Master’s in Health Communications from Boston University and graduated in December 2016 (just 4 months before her wedding!). Brittany has worked for companies such as Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Pure Barre LLC and AVI Foodsystems at BMW-SC.

Brittany has leadership experience in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on a local, state and national level; including serving as the Piedmont Dietetic Association President for 4 years, the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SCAND) PR-Media Chair for 2 years and has served as the Communications Chair for the Thirty and Under in Nutrition and Dietetics membership interest group from 2016-2018. In 2014, Brittany was awarded as the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year from the Piedmont Dietetic Association, and the Presidential Award from the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2015. She is currently serving as the Continuing Education Chair for SCAND.

Brittany is passionate about food and writing healthy recipes. Her work has been published in Food and Nutrition Magazine, SUIDA’s blog Dairy Delivers and on her “sister site” The Healthy Bachelorette.
