When I started my business in 2017, concierge nutrition wasn’t a buzzword — it was simply my foundation.
From the beginning, I knew nutrition was about more than what to eat. Real change doesn’t happen in a single appointment. It happens in real life.
To me, real-life nutrition has always looked like:
- Real-time feedback while traveling, attending weddings, sitting at basketball games, or navigating busy workweeks
- Meal planning that flexes with real life — we schedule for meals out, weddings, events, vacations, work travel, basketball games, and more
- Consistent appointments — every week or every other week — not one-off visits where you’re left to figure it out alone
- Ongoing access for questions in the grocery store or at a restaurant, right when decisions are being made – not talking about it weeks later
That level of support requires depth, continuity, and relationship — and that’s exactly what concierge nutrition provides.
Why I Built a Private Practice
When I opened Brittany Jones Nutrition Group in Upstate South Carolina, there were very few Registered Dietitians in private practice. I built this practice to fill that gap — with a mission to be a reliable, realistic nutrition resource and to promote Registered Dietitians as the true experts in nutrition.
At the time, offering concierge-style care meant fewer barriers, more personalization, and the ability to truly support clients between appointments.
Now, in 2025, the landscape has grown in a really positive way. Access to Registered Dietitians in private practice across the Upstate has expanded, and that progress genuinely makes me proud.
But with that growth has also come a model that often prioritizes volume over continuity — shorter visits, scheduling requirements, and nutrition care that’s limited to what insurance will allow.
And that’s where concierge nutrition still matters.
Why Insurance Can’t Cover Comprehensive Nutrition Care
Insurance-based care often focuses on individual visits. Concierge nutrition is designed for people who want comprehensive care, not just one-off appointments.
Depth, personalization, and continuity take time. They require:
- Seeing the same dietitian consistently
- Adjusting meal plans based on what’s actually happening week to week
- Reviewing new lab work in real time
- Reviewing patterns, symptoms, routines, and barriers as they evolve
- Providing support between sessions — where real-life decisions happen
That level of care simply isn’t something insurance models are built to support.
Returning Fully to Concierge Nutrition
With the growth of my practice and the evolution of nutrition care, I’m choosing to return fully to what I know works best: concierge nutrition.
All 4- and 8-week Concierge Nutrition packages now include:
- Access to the Real Life Nutrition Membership with 400+ recipes and meal planning tools
- Photo food logging and progress tracking (no calorie or macro counting)
- Real-time feedback and adjustments
- 24/7 access for questions and support
Because nutrition isn’t lived in appointments alone — it’s lived in real time.
This model allows me to provide care that is:
- Relationship-based
- Personalized
- Flexible
- Built around your real life, not rigid rules
